Easter

Hey yall!! Sorry its been a minute! Elder Mccoy and I just started a new transfer together this week and its been a blast. First of all, EASTER! This week I was able to study a lot about the last week of our Saviors mortal life in the come follow me manual. Its amazing to be able to learn and study more about the life of Jesus, the gratitude that I feel for my Savior has increased a ton this week.

One thing that my companion and I tried to focus on, especially with the members, this week was the Sacrament. Never before had I realized the impact the sacrament can have on our lives. The talk from this past general conference from Elder Holland really puts it all in perspective. He talks about the sacrifices that members did in the ancient church and the sacrifices that we make today with the sacrament. "There would still be an offering, it would still involve a sacrifice, but it would be with symbolism much deeper, much more introspective and personal than the bloodletting of a firstborn lamb." Every week when we take of the sacrament we are able to give a sacrifice to the Lord, of a broken heart and a contrite spirit. A sacrifice of our sins, temptations and bad habits. The atonement of Jesus Christ gives of the strength necessary to overcome all of these challenges we have in life. I challenge you all to think about how you can make the sacrament have a  deeper meaning, and be more personal than before. You will see changes in the way you worship on Sundays and in your daily life!

Love,
Elder Henderson
