Argentina!!

Its been an awesome first week here in Tucúman! My trainer is Elder Bastian from Washington state. He speaks english which is so awesome😂.  This week has been filled with a lot of contacting! Last Saturday my companion and his previous companion had 3 baptisms so we didnt have a ton of investigators this week. We decided we work going to work and find some people and familes to teach. On Saturday we found 5 new investigators and a family of 3! They are all super interested and I am super excited to start teaching them! This week I learned a lot about patience. Its kind of wild that when you are 7000 miles from home and no one speaks your language, you learn to be a little patient! I have had to be patient in everything this week.  This week my companion and I have talked a lot about 3 Nephi 12:14-16 and being a light to the world. When we have that light (the gospel), we have an obligation to share it and be an example to others. I have loved being a representative of...

Hola mi familia!! We made it to Salta and the mission home a couple of hours ago. I just had a interview with my president and he is soooo cool. We have mostly just been chilling and will be until tomorrow, we just have lots of meetings today! Tomorrow I will get my companion and head off to my first area. They have made us a huuuuuuuuuuugggggggeeeeee dinner and we are about to eat so much meat hahah.  Salta is so cool. The part by the airport is kind of ugly and looks a little bit like the middle of nowhere Utah but the you get to the city and its beautiful hahah. Thank you all for all of the prayers and support, I can definitely feel your help! I love and miss you all so much! My p day will be this next Monday, sorry I cant reply to all of your emails right now! Here is a link to some pictures of us meeting president and all of the missionaries that came with me. https://drive.google.com/open? id=1LXFzbiG_ wGI99NsJ1d6R8J6vaF-YusIE   Love Elder Henderson ...

Last Week at the CCM!

Image
Its kind of crazy, I feel like just last week I got to the CCM and now I leave on Monday! I am so excited to be able to serve the people of Argentina in less than a week!  This week was same old, same old in the CCM but I did have some great moments in my study of the gospel. One of the things that really hit me this week was what an Elder in my district said while we were sharing about our personal study. He shared Alma 2:28-31 and said that every time it says Alma we should change it to our name, and anytime it says Amlici, we should change it to sin. Doing this really makes the scriptures personal and we can relate to them way better. I love it with this scripture because it explains the battle that we have with sin. It really is face to face and we need the Lords help to get through. I know that through Jesus Christ, anything is possible! Love Elder Henderson Scriptures: Alma 34:31 I am posting a lot of random pictures from Elder Henderson's stay at the MTC,...

Week 4 in the CCM

Image
Another week down and only two left in the MTC! This week has gone by so fast and its crazy to think I have already been here for a month. In 12 days I will be in Argentina teaching the gospel to real investigators and I am so excited! This week was our last lesson with our fake investigator Karina. She started crying in the lesson and the spirit was definitely there. I love this gospel and am so grateful for the oppourtunity to serve! Sorry for the short email, not many changes in the MTC hahah.  Have a great week! Love Elder Henderson Scriptures: 2 Nephi 2. One of my favorite chapters of the Book of Mormon all about the atonement.

Week 3 in the CCM

Hola!! This week has been great in the CCM! It started out with Elder David A Bednar coming last Friday. He did a really cool question and answer with all of the missionaries in the CCM. He would ask us a question and like 50 people would raise there hand and he would kind of wait for a second and then pick someone. After a while of doing this, he told us why. He said he was listening to the spirit and choosing who the Spirit told him to. SO COOL. I strive to be able to have the spirit as strong as that man does. He truly is an apostle of God. This week really flew by! Other than Bednar, it was a pretty normal week! Im grateful for the opportunity I have to serve the Lord!! Also, welcome home to my Big brother Mikey! He has been the best example of a great missionary to me and I am so grateful for his faithful service! Scriptures 1 Nephi 17:50-51 Love Elder Henderson
