Hello America!

Another good week here in Argentina! Kind of different, but it was good! This week I had to go to Salta to do paperwork for my visa, and I got to eat McDonald's. Wow. Never would have thought McDonald's could have tasted so good hahah. This week we worked hard to try and find some new people to teach. It was difficult, but we were able to start working with a less active, part member family. The dad and his 9 year old son are not baptized yet. We taught a couple lessons with them this week and they have a strong desire to be baptized, but the parents are not married. They will have to get married. They want too and I know that as we teach more they will gain a stronger desire. They read the Book of Mormon as a family and I know the Holy Ghost will testify to them of the importance of taking this step of baptism. Not a lot to say this week but I just want to talk about faith. Lately, every time I have read the scriptures I have read stories about people having faith and act...

Conference, conference, conference!!

This week has been so good, and to top it all of we had conference this weekend! We did a lot of teaching getting our investigator Josè ready for baptism this next week. It is so amazing to see him trust in the Lord and follow every commandment we teach without question, it has definitely strengthened my faith. One miracle of the week is that I was able to watch conference in English! It was so good to learn so much fun those inspired men and women and to recieve new revelation! One of my favorite talks was by president Dieter F. Üchtdorf. He said that discipleship begins with 3 word, Believe, Love, and Do. First thing we must do to be a true disciple of Christ is believe in his divine power and his atonement. When we do this, we gain a love for him and for all people. One the mission I have learned how important love is. When we realize how much the savior loves us, and we begin to have that love for other people, there is nothing we can not do! The last part is to DO! This is a g...

Great week...very HOT!

Hello everyone!! We have had another great week here in the Banda de Rio Sali! This week was HOT, but we were able to get a lot of work done. We comitted 2 investigators to baptism this week! The first is named José and he is probably the most prepared person for baptism I have ever met. Everytime we teach he asks so many questions but every questions gives us the perfect opportunity to teach and testify of truth. It has been so fun to see his love for the gospel grow. When we taught the Book of Mormon he said it blew his mind and he was so excited to read it. He reads every night and has accepted a baptism date for October 13th! This week we also had a ward talent show and I sang a rousy rendition of I am a child of God. My comp and I went all out with sunglasses hats and everything. He played some weird instrument and I sang. I sang in English so no one knew what I was saying and it was super funny. Thats about it for this week! Love you all! Elder Henderson ...
