Monterrico Week 3!
Sorry its been a couple weeks, haven't had a ton of time to write! Elder Cañas and I have been in Monterrico for 3 weeks and the work is picking up! This week we were able to find a bunch of people prepared to hear the gospel. Our president has given us some new goals for this year that have seemed pretty unreachable. In companionship study, my comp and I read the classic 1 Nephi 3:7 and decided, that if president had enough faith to give us these goals, we could reach them. Man we were blessed this week! I know that if goals are set with a prayer, and willingness to work, we will receive the help necessary in order to reach our goals!
We have been planning a baptism for a 9 year old girl named Celeste for this Saturday the 16th, but she needed to come to church one more time. She was determined to come on her own and didn't want us to come look for her hahha. Church started and she wasnt there. We were pretty bummed. this week we had to speak in sacrament meeting and I was up giving my talk and in walked Celeste!! It was funny because I saw her walk in and got super excited and just started laughing hahah. It was all good tho, I finished the talk and Celeste is getting baptized this Saturday!
Also, this week I read a talk by President Nelson called Joy and the spritual survival (or something like that, I read it in spanish don't judge lol) I invite you all to read it! It is super good council that we can all use in our lives!! Love you all have a great week!
