I'm Melting!!
Como andan todos?? We are doing great here in Jujuy! This week was really hot lol, everywhere we went people looked at us like we were crazy walking around in a shirt and tie in 100+ degree weather. Last week here was Mother's day so this week we had a huge ward activity were they made 60+ pounds of meat. It was the best Asada I've ever had hahah. This week we were able to have lots of success and see a lot of progress in the people we are teaching!
One cool story that happened this week is that we were walking around talking with people but we felt like we were not in the right place. We went walking to where we felt we needed to go. We were a little confused and had no idea where to go and then we clapped our hands at a house, and a lady came out and let us right in! We were a little surprised but super excited. It turns out the lady is a member and is even sealed to her family! She moved to Jujuy from Buenos Aires a long time ago and lost contact with the church. The first time the missionaries ever knocked on her door in Jujuy just happened to be on her mom's birthday. Her mom had passed away a couple years ago, still active in the church. On her birthday, her daughter was able to remember her and the gospel she loved so much. We taught the plan of salvation and promised this sister the opportunity to see her mom again! I know it was no coincidence that the Lord sent us there at that moment. She couldn't stop telling us thank you throughout the visit. I love to see the tender mercies of God and remember that he knows each and every one of us personally, even when we separate ourselves from him. It gave me a reminder that this is the work of the Lord and he is blessing all of his children in great ways!
