Milagros!

Wow what a week! We had a lot of fun this week and saw some miracles. To start it off, we have a lady who we are teaching who loves the church and wants to get baptized, but its really hard for her to come to church. She is a nurse and works 16 hour days, every single day. This week during our visit, she told us that she now has Saturdays and Sundays off from work! It was such a miracle because she has been trying to do this for months. This week we talked about prayer and the power it has. She had never before prayed to ask for help and a way to get Sundays off, this week she prayed and sincerely asked our Heavenly Father to help her with this. The next day, she was about to get her schedule changed. WOW. It strengthened my testimony of prayer so much. I know that if we ask, with faith and real intent God can and will answer our prayers. She is scheduled to get baptized this Saturday!

Another miracle was this week we were contacting and it started raining so we were going to go to a members house. We walked right past a guy who was sitting out on his front porch. I was like oh dang should have talked to him, but too late we already walked by. Luckily, my companion stopped and said that we need to talk to him. We go back and tell him that we are doing a survey (the mission has given us an awesome survey that helps us with contacting and more people want to talk to us when we just have a survey to do hahah). He goes and gets his wife and she invites in to the house. It was kind of weird because usually people just talk to us out front. It ends up she is a member who fell away from the church about 7 years ago. She got divorced in Buenos Aires and now lives here in Tucumàn with her new husband. Her husband isn't a member and she hasn't talked to missionaries since she moved her almost 7 years ago. Talking to her we realized how she has been being prepared to return to church.  Her and her husband have had some trials, and they have been looking for peace. She said that she forgot, but when we were talking to her, she remembered the peace that the gospel brought 20 years ago when she was baptized. She has a desire to return to church and her husband wants to as well. Such a miracle that we had the impression to stop and talk to this guy. I know the church is true!!

Love,
Elder Henderson
